Hi everyone!
This week was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The weather was finaly so nice! The sun actually shined!!!!! Due to the great weather everyone was outside doing yard work so we decided to walk and ride bikes:) it was sooooooooo fun!!!!!!! Ill tell you about the fruits from the biking and stuff after i tell you a little about the other stuff that happened:)
We are teaching lilly again!!!!!! She is the high schooler who we started teaching a few months ago but then stopped talking to us.....we felt prompted by the holy ghost to go and see her. We didnt know why and i was a little hesitant to go back. when we knocked on her door and started talking to her, she had questions about the Resurrection and accepted the invitation to learn more! woot woot!!!!!
I also learned this week that life is easier when you live the gospel. We talked to a lady who was baptized a member of the church when she was young but she never lived it. She has had a lot of death in her family and it has taken a toll on her life. She doesnt understand that life isnt about all right now and that God has a plan for her and her deceased family. I felt so sad for her because she was so sick spiritually she couldnt see all the good in her life. That is a hard life to live, live the life that gives you eternal happiness not immediate satisfaction! president Monson said "choose the harder RIGHT then the easier WRONG".
Now heres the fruits from the bike ride:
I am super sore!! It hurts to sit down but its going away:)
We didnt have anywhere specific to go so we had to rely whole on the Holy Ghost. Every time we saw someone we stopped and talked to them, we found that a lot people have had some contact with the church and thats AWESOME, but they think they no everything about the church so they dont listen......oh well, they will have another chance and they will have to answer to God. Well anyways, every time we felt like we needed to be somewhere we went there, then there was someone who needed help, and someone who would accept a book of Mormon, card or pamphlet! Heavenly Father blessed us with 6 people who might be willing to allow us to come back! We are going to follow up with them in a couple days:) We were riding back home but we felt like we needed to keep going up the street. We didnt have a destination but we went anyways. We meet a young mom, Autumn, outside playing with her daughter and we started talking to her. She was super nice and open about things and then she started asking questions like "where is my grandma who died? i hope shes in heaven but i dont know" then sister adamson whipped out Alma 40:11 which says "all people go home to the God that created them". Autumn then said "wow, that just hit home" She accepted the invitation to learn more!!!! She was at her moms house when we met her and so she lives in a different area but thats okay! Im so excited she is going to learn more!
The holy ghost is essential to this work! We were guided and lead to people who were prepared, that is what the work is about; following the promptings of the Spirit. I always wondered "is it the spirit telling me this or is it just me?" the answer is: if its good just do it! Act in faith and follow and I promise you God will direct you even more. I love the Lord and His work!
Have a Spirit filled week!!!!!:)
