Hi everyone!!!!!!!!
First things first: how are you all doing?! im pretty sure i ask that every week and no one says anything!!! Whats up with that?! So this week was pretty awesome! I dont have a lot of time so im gonna keep this short. We are teaching an Albanian man, Sebush, and he is so kind! Its hard to teach him, almost impossible because there is a language barrier as big as the wall of china! We are trying to find a translator:) We are also teaching Tiffany!!! She is going to be baptized in a couple weeks!!!! Her and her boyfriend are gonna get married first and then she will be able to make her convenants with God! She loves the gospel and she is soaking it up!!!!! Im so blessed I get to help teach her! We also were blessed with the opportunity to do blitz in our area. A blitz is when all the missionaries in the zone go to one area, that is struggling, for a couple hours. they try to see less actives, former investigators, potentials and then talk to EVERYONE! All together we found almost 5 potential investigators and 3 new investigators!!!! Evergreen needed this and now we are just so excited!!!! Heavenly Father blesses us in many ways. Obedience brings blessings:) This week i learned that trials make us who we are. Sometimes we have trials to help us discover us. When we feel like we cant keep going remember that the Savior can give us strength, but we have to ask. He suffered for all of us, for all the negative things in our lives so he can help us. Always remember you are never alone, and that you can overcome all things because you are a Child of Heavenly Father. Phillipans 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ which strengeneth me." I testify that He is our strength and healing comes as we rely on Him. I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!!!!!! Share your testimony with a friend!!!!!! SLY, Sister Empey Hey! Hola! Hi! Hello (in a British accent!)!
This week was WEIRD!!! Well, we had some weird stuff happen! Not anything serious just akward.... 1. Sister andruski has frost bite..... 2. a Jehovas witness tried to convert us but we stumped him every time he said or asked us something (dont worry we stumped him nicely) :) It was weird because he knew who we were and targeted us on the street. I was like "oh man, you have got to be kidding..." He was very nice but tried to correct us every time we answered his questions. He would ALWAYS ask "where does it say that in the bible?" We showed him and then he would say "hmmmm" then move on. It was neat though because Heavenly Father prepared us before this happened. We studied almost all the bible references that talked about the Restoration, Plan of Salvation, and The Gospel! So basically everything about the gospel:) 3. I was hugged by a naked 10 year old boy...well he did have underwear on so that was a blessing! I just stood there with my hands up cuz i didnt know what to do!!!!! AWKWARD!!!!!!! this week was still a struggle but it we had LOTS of happy moments!!! the Lord has helped us get into less actives homes that ward hasnt been able to get into for years! MIRACLES!!!!!! We had a lesson with a less active family the Chapmans and the father died about 2 years ago. They have had a rough road for a while and we are going to try to help them get back on their feet:) Another less active we are teaching is Kevin! Kevin is in his 50s and has been inactive since he was 14 so we are starting from square one! I hope we can help him feel the truth of the gospel!:) We also had a lesson with Issaiah! He is 16 and he keeps all his commitments!!!!!! We love teaching him!!! He is so smart and he has the desire to learn, not a whole lot of teenagers do so woooohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!! Janice is still taking the lessons but its hard to teach her because she is sooooooooooooooooooooo confusing!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahah thank goodness the Lord is on our side! We cannot do his work without His hand!! Wanna know a funny story? i asked sister andruski if i could share this and she said yes with a smile! We were walking up this long drive way in the dark and there were tons of pine cones on the ground. We were trying not to walk on them but i accidentally stepped on one and it goes "cruuuunch". sister Andruski's eyes got really big and she whipped around asking "what was that?!" I said very calm and shrugged my shoulders "nothing i just stepped on a rabbits head." Her eyes got as big as ping pong balls and said "What?! Really?! Why would you do that?!" I started ot bust up laughing and said "That was actually a pine cone..... there arent any rabbits up here......" We both started to bust up laughing!!!!!!!!! Heavenly Father blesses us in all things! Sometimes its through laughs, scriptures and other people:) have a great week!!!! and share you testimony!!!! SLY, SIster Empey |
