Hey everyone!!!!!
This week was great!!!! Since we do the same thing every day i get the days mixed up so I will tell you the highlights!!!!
So the first awesome thing that happend was when Sister Rencher and I went hymn tracting...i cant sing to save my life so that was a bit scketcy but anyways we started singing I stand all amazed and this little family opened the door and listened! It was sooo neat to watch them relax and feel the spirit! They want us to come back this week so we can teach them more about Christ!!!! That same day we had a feeling to stop at a members house so we stopped and no one was home...we both looked at eachother and thought that was weird then we turned around!!!!!!! We see a guy walking down the street singing some songs and we practically ran up to him....well speed walked. We talked to him for a few min and he just moved to Moyie (a small town next to Bonners Ferry) from New York and he recently became Christian! We had a small discussion about Jesus Christ and he agreed to meet agian later that week! So we met with him on Saturday and he said his family told him bad rumors about Mormons but he wanted to find out for himself! Then we had this discussion about the Book of Mormon and what we believe. Without us inviting him to read the BoM he said "I will read it myself so I can know for myself".......we were shocked cuz that never happens!!!!
We also are painting scriptures on a potential investigators walls! She wants a peaceful room so she picked a scripture out of Psalms and we painted it! We decided to be sneaky and paint a book of Mormon scripture on her other wall....she said she would love that after we picked out the scripture! It was so fun!!! We also went to Libby Montana to help the Elders with a service project in the community garden!!!! IT was soooo neat becuase the garden is a learning tool for kids and for the youth. It teaches them responsibility and respect for others. The lady in charge was super happy that we were able to come and help!! It was nice to get in some pants and get our hands dirty!!!
WE had interviews with our mission president and it was awesome!!! i learned sooo much!!!! We talked a lot about helping others and being obedient. It was so neat to listen to the whole zone talk and discuss their thoughts. I definitely feel more at ease here because the meeting provided extra strenght. We also talked about how important it is to love each other and to be happy. SLY means "sure love ya" ....just keep that in mind:)
We got a new ward mission leader yesterday in the 2nd ward! His family is amazing and super focused on misisonary work. He feels overwhelmed with all the stuff he has to do and the stake has high expectations for ward mission leaders so we are trying to help him feel better. Honestly I was feeling kinda overwhelmed with all the "numbers" we have to get by the end of the week but I realized that all we can do is our best, so thats what we are gonna do:)
